Our Diary for Pond & Stream Works, Cuckfield

These new works were started by our Chris & Neil in Early March. Our role was to rebuild a redundant watercourse and reline 2 leaking ponds. The works previously had been completed by a Chelsea gold medal award winner. Artistically it had been created well, but we found several serious flaws in the original construction. Our only choice unfortunately was to rip out and start again. We decided against using liners again. We were to use reinforced waterproofed concrete sealed with G4. Below will appear the original photos plus our works from start to finish!

Our first job will be to clear out the leaves, then to stack all of the existing stone ready for reuse later!

Existing Stream uncovered			Pool is emptied
We hired a tracked barrow	Digger hard at work!	Banks are formed

Upper pool sub base in	Water courses continue	A series of bath tubs!!	Next week weather permitting, these will all be rendered, sealed with G4 and littered with stone!

Ready for G4 and Littering!	Upper pond prepared	Problem! It keeps Raining!	We have had to leave for a few days, there was so much rain, springs are filling the lower pond and will not allow us to waterproof! We will return as soon as the weather permits!
A few dry days later!	Sealed with G4 and stone walling	now going in to dress the sides!	Banks take shape
